We are seeking a Principal Python Engineer to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on transformative projects in a company at the forefront of blockchain technology.
This is a fully remote position, open to candidates across Europe.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and Lead: Shape the technical strategy and architecture for our Python-based products, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and innovation.
- Drive Data Excellence: Design and optimize data solutions, including data lakes and warehouses, using technologies like Snowflake or Clickhouse.
- Modernize Systems: Lead digital transformation initiatives, re-engineering existing systems to align with the latest best practices and technologies.
- Collaborate: Work cross-functionally with product, sales, security, and data intelligence teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Mentor and Inspire: Build and guide a high-performing engineering team through mentorship, training, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Documentation and Strategy: Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to the company’s overarching software development vision.
Your Skills and Experience
- Extensive Python Expertise: 8+ years of professional Python development experience, with a strong focus on big data solutions.
- Data Mastery: Proven track record in designing and implementing data lake and warehouse solutions, such as Snowflake or Clickhouse.
- Cloud Savvy: Deep understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and their services (e.g., S3, EC2, Redshift).
- Transformation Leader: Experience leading modernization and digital transformation projects in software systems.
- Collaborative Problem-Solver: Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with diverse teams to deliver high-quality results.
- Mentorship Mindset: Passion for guiding and developing engineering talent.
