We are seeking an Instructional Designer to join our mission with a European Institution in a long term huge project.

Nature of the tasks:

Working closely with content experts to create content for online courses
Understanding the goals of the course and designing the content to enable students to meet those goals
Preparing the course content in a format suitable for online learning
Ensuring that courses and course material meets usability and accessibility standards

Products, technologies and tools:

Databases: MySQL (MariaDB), ElasticSearch/OpenSearch
Content Management and E-learning Systems:
Websi te – Drupal 9 (currently being upgraded to 10); E-learning system – Moodle;
Markup / Programming languages and frameworks:
HTML, HTML5, XML, XSL/XSLT, CSS, Bootstrap, PHP, JavaScript, Java, Java Spring framework, R, SPSS, Apache Cordova, Apache Camel
Virtualisation: Virtual machines using VMWare
Web and application servers: Apache
Survey tools: Limesurvey Statistics tools: Matomo (formerly Piwik)
CRM tools: SuiteCRM Operating systems: Linux (CentOS, Debian)

Education & Professional Experience:

Proven professional experience of at least 2 years in designing web-based courses for learners;
Proven experience of at least 2 projects using e-learning development tools and software;
Excellent knowledge of English (Common European Framework of Reference – CEF – level C1)
